December 2006 NewsletterDear LucidLights™ Team Members, Investors & Interested Parties,Happy New Year from John & EJ!
One of our favorite visions (pass it on!)
IBI Forum in LAAs many of you know, we attended the IBI forum in LA in early December where LucidLights™ was shown to many of the attendees, faculty and potential investors. The response to the product was extremely favorable, the feedback was very valuable, and the people that we added to the team are fabulous.Howard Lim, the world renowned Branding expert gave us the thumbs up on the name LucidLights™, stating that he could do a lot with a name like that. Following his advice we’ve named the new full-featured Windows based program currently in development for the user-customizable product as LucidLab™.. We have plans to further develop the LucidLights™ branding with Howard in 2007. The provisional patent was officially received and recorded at the USPTO on 11/11/06. We have engaged Michael Starkweather, an IBI instructor from Sandy, UT, as our Intellectual Property (IP) attorney. Michael expressed great enthusiasm for LucidLights™ and provided powerful insights and suggestions regarding the possibilities of this product. We have a conference call arranged with Michael on January 3 to discuss our next steps with our IP strategy. Paul Hoyt, another top-notch IBI instructor, is a business strategic planner living here in Colorado. Paul is on our ‘wealth team’ and has been personally involved with LucidLights™ virtually since the invention of the product. Paul’s guidance is a key element of our business path and continuing progress. Wen Boley is the CEO of StickySheets™, a very savvy businessman, and a good friend living near us in Colorado. (You may have seen StickySheets™ advertisements on TV recently, or you might watch Home Shopping Network in January!) Wen continues to provide us with positive mentorship and motivation, and is leading us as our Capital Raising expert. While in Los Angeles, John had lunch with Bob Circosta, CEO and founder of the Home Shopping Network also known as (“The Billion Dollar Man”). The first words from Bob upon seeing LucidLights™ in action were “SOLD!” Bob had a powerful suggestion for tailoring a version of the product for sale on TV through HSN, and the parts to reach this design goal are to arrive via UPS on 12-28-06. LucidLights™ Next StepsWe’ve recently created a bare-bones web page to get the LucidLights™ web site up and running and to season the search engines. Watch for many new and exciting changes coming soon!LucidLights™ R&D efforts are in full swing! The new features include full-color LEDs, user message reprogrammability using the LucidLab™, a full-featured easy and fun to use Windows program, and improved message dynamics and physics. It just keeps getting better and better! We’re seeking to add to our team people who can help us expand our marketing efforts. For example, we have an excellent lead to a head person with the University of Nebraska Alumni Marching Band, which could lead to a lucrative fund raising opportunity for their organization in the near future. If you know someone in college or professional sports venues who would find this an interesting, hot, new fundraising product, please send both them and us an email, so that we can create a win-win-win opportunity for everyone. Other potential markets currently being researched include football stadiums, automotive safety, emergency vehicles, DOT traffic control, other sports such as hockey, soccer, and so on, rock bands, circuses, casinos, politicians, theme parks, national parks, gift shops, museums, charity causes, high-school fund raisers, conventions, trade shows, insurance companies, and many others. Who do you know in any of these or other venues who would find interest in discussing a hot, new opportunity? Thanks!Thank you all for your ongoing support and or interest in LucidLights™.See The Light!JC & EJ |
