The Nebraska Debut

While in Lincoln, Nebraska, we decided to stage a "photographic opportunity", on-foot expedition down to the Haymarket area of town. Several active restaurants and grills are located there, such as Brewsky's, Lazlo's, and Buzzard Billy's, where students and other University of Nebraska fans hang out on a regular basis. Several of these establishments include outdoor seating areas along the sidewalks and narrow streets close to the old railroad depot.

This provided an excellent opportunity for the world premier of the soon-to-be-famous LucidLights message "GO BIG RED!" to be flashed, and for us to get a feel for just how well this new communications medium would be received by ardent fans.

It was a huge success! People stopped in their tracks, then they stopped us in ours, asking questions and showing great interest. It warmed my Big Red heart to its core.
