We had fun over the weekend, walking around the Parker Country Festival event on Saturday night. As a very impromptu experiment we decided to flash "PARKER PRIDE" and other appropriate messages, just to see what kind of reactions we'd get. We were told, weeks ago, that "any teenager with enough cash in their pocket would buy these on the spot", so this statement was put to the test. Wow! From our informal test this is very true! We had people stopping in their tracks, pointing us out to friends, and literally cheering us on. Many people, of all ages, came up to us to ask where we had gotten it, where they could get one, and so on. We handed out a lot of cards and told people they'd be available later this year. At one point we had several people more or less standing in line waiting for me to give them a card too.

Even the Parker Fire Department guys made a loud verbal comment about how cool it was when they saw "PARKER PRIDE", and the people at the booth selling the small flashing LED-based badges showed great interest in talking to us about distribution options. They wanted our card and they now have it! All in all, the night proved to be an extremely encouraging experiment!

Your investment capital is currently hard at work getting first-run LucidLights built by a team of three people. The plastic housings and the matching circuit boards are being concurrently designed by two people, and the third person is coordinating the efforts and getting all the parts together. The latest design shows all the circuit parts, including the LEDs and batteries, surface mounted on a single 5" by 1" board. This gets the product to a very comfortable hand-held size, and it chips away (pun intended ) at the manufacturing costs. These first production units will be built here in the U.S. and it will then be a breeze to move the production run overseas later on.

These first LucidLights units will be used to enhance our marketing and distribution campaign this summer and into the fall. Depending on timing, the first real production run will be test marketed at state fairs, regional festivals, trade shows, and sporting events. One goal is to sell a few thousand LucidLights at the Balloon Festival in Albuquerque this fall, as we have a person eager to give that venue a shot. We're also proceeding with plans to get on Home Shopping Network this fall with the Halloween model. We've been surprised by all the great suggestions for other markets, but we need to pick a good sampling of markets to get started, and so far these look to be the best for getting ramped up with our steady growth plan.

We are still actively raising capital to meet our growth goals, so please contact us if you would like to increase your number of membership units, or if you have friends you'd like to introduce us to who might like to join the LucidLights family.
